This is like one of those fake cooking/baking videos where they clearly swapped the item out at a certain step to make it look like the terrible recipe worked… except the guy baking them is just as in the dark about how and when the switcheroo happened as the audience is.
I say it that way because when I was a kid I went a lot of places with my grandparents in their car. I didn’t really pay attention to traffic or what it was like to be the person driving because I was like nine, but one night when we were coming back from a play or something, and Grandmother said, “Turn the cloaking device OFF, Bob.”
“Oh, right, let me get that,” my grandfather said.
And I was ???
Several minutes later, “Bob, what did I tell you about that cloaking device?”
“I think the button is just stuck tonight.”
This was their extremely nerdy way of dealing with people who cut them off in traffic.
I’ve done something to turn the cloaking device on on the house again
Just got an email like congratulations your package was delivered with a picture of the delivery
look i know pathologizing everything is bad but i’m telling you there’s so much shit ppl with uteruses just assume is normal and it’s literally not. and even if it IS you can probably still get some help and/or it could become unnormal.

debilitating cramps/pain during your period isn’t normal, and there’s things an ob/gyn can do to help you.
extreme and severe moodswings like anger, depression, anxiety and paranoia right before your period isn’t normal, and there’s things an ob/gyn can do to help you.
and even if maybe you’re experiencing ‘normal’ amounts of these things but they’re impairing your quality of life TWELVE TIMES A YEAR, that’s absolutely worth finding an ob/gyn who will help you.
my periods make me wanna kill myself. i get so fucking depressed and terrified. some of you have seen my spiral posts when i can’t even control myself anymore and i’m screaming and crying everywhere because i don’t know what i’ll do if i don’t keep myself busy doing that.
it also makes my chronic fatigue worse. that amount of effort and energy takes a lot out of me; it reminds of anemia, which is extremely common in ppl with periods because the blood loss triggers it (this isn’t specifically my problem, but it is a real and frequent one).
you don’t HAVE to suffer. even if you can 'bear through it’. even if every idiot in your life told you 'haha, yeah, periods just suck’. go ask an ob/gyn. i’m probably a little biased because they DID very much save my life, but the thing is, they might save your life too. it doesn’t hurt to ask.
I hate hate HATE that I require so much reassurance like things could be going perfectly fine but there’s always a part of me that believes that all of it is a lie
