I would genuinely like to know who to blame for making these children so disconnected from the concept of imagination that they think the simpler explanation for what they’re doing is that they’re projecting their consciousness into one of infinite realities where fictional characters are real.
So I am really proud of the wild concept my friend had conjured up for this character and I was really excited to bring it to life. Before she only existed as a nebulous loose concept but putting together the doll, she really looks like the embodiment of a corrupted nightmare woman.
I’m really happy with how she turned out and it was a heck of a way to finish off the set of dolls for my friend.
You want to know why Inigo Montoya remains such an iconic and beloved character even 35 years after the Princess Bride came out?
It’s because he’s one of the few characters in fiction who has a story where he has dedicated his life to revenge, his whole motivation is about getting revenge….and he gets it! and then he isn’t empty or despairing! he doesn’t regret it! he’s totally satisfied!
because so many stories about revenge or rage are about characters “seeing the futility of their actions” or learning “their desire for revenge has only made them the monsters they hated” FUCK THAT.
Inigo Montoya kills the man who kills his father, is allowed to live in the narrative after and be happy about it and it is so satisfying. it’s fantastic. it’s iconic.
let more characters rage against the world, bring it down with bloodied hands, and let them be FUCKING RIGHT about it. Let them celebrate their success with sharp grins, and let them live happy, full lives where they always remain proud/fulfilled for what they’ve done
I talked about redesigns for zexal, which sounds like a lot of devotion, but zexal was my least favorite of the series I saw. There was just enough that I liked and got and wanted to see Better that I got taken up in some gale of wanting to work on it, but my favorite is still the original manga!
And then Vrains, somehow. Arc V and then Gx and then zexal? Maybe. GX had a more issues trying to decide what level of reality it was hiding in, and i couldn’t stop seeing that.
I ended up with characters I love from everything I watched though! Every series has a “i want to make a doll of that guy” character at least haha
This could be common knowledge but I thought I might share anyway.
If you’re a side sleeper and has had good experiences with weighted blankets you might like u shaped pillows. They’re often called pregnancy pillows or maternity pillows because they were made to support pregnant bodies, but having slept with one I think a lot of people who struggle with anxiety could benefit from one.
They feel like a big, soft hug essentially. While I personally don’t like sleeping all night with one I love it for naps. The pressure against the back is especially nice, and it keeps me from rolling over on my back with cause me to snore.
Just wanted to put it out there in case you hadn’t heard about them.

I don’t use an actual “body” pillow myself, because I started side sleeping with a pillow when I was a teenager. I’m used to sleeping with a pillow compressed down into a nice thick tube, and using my blankets to achieve the slight separation my legs like.
Since getting my weighted blanket, I mostly actually sleep on my back, with the weight folded up a bit to be denser on my chest.
With my hug pillow tucked into whatever side I feel like, elevating one arm and giving a nice slight pressure on the side.
Sometimes, I grab extra pillows (my bed has half a dozen, all with specific uses) and do a sort of half-side, my back to the comforter covered blankets, my chest and legs pressured by the weighted blanket, and one arm under my hug pillow tucking it close and yes it’s 360 degree pressure I can shift!
Anyway….
If you don’t want to develop your own pillow system out of nothing, go get a body pillow.
And if my “cocoon” sounds awesome but difficult, go get a u-shaped body pillow!!!
I just have a lot of days that are dreadfully the same lately because I’m just waiting for mysterious things out of my hands to come back and tell me how fucked I am haha
