I used to hear about glomping constantly, my friends and I joked about it with our favorite characters in the late 90s, but I was unprepared for it to happen to me very suddenly in 2004 or whatever it was haha
I both would like to keep my Dusty doll on her original body but also find that the body is just Determined To Melt Itself and is awkward to use because of its sports gimmick. I love vintage dolls and all their weird shapes and articulation but considering I am already going to repaint her maybe I should just use the head and set the body aside.
glomping is an action. Its like a hug but you sorta jump onto the person a bit. Looks cute in anime but irl its not super great, you can hurt yourself and the other person pretty easily.

This happened to me in a hotel during a convention when I was a teenager. A girl mistook me in my normal clothes for someone cosplaying her favorite Gundam Wing character and she jumped off of a set of a stairs and into my torso. No one was physically hurt, but we both left that interaction with little minuses above our heads like Sims.
