I’m starting to get this vague notion that you guys are in a competition to see who can make me draw the most ridiculous things.
Because now it’s like Londo eats sherbet while wearing a tiara and and fuck, you would not know how dark and soul crushing this show can be based on the stuff I churn out on this blog. I think someone tagged my fruit hat photos with something to that effect and I am feeling it keenly, I should probably draw something mildly serious again soon. I did fashion and sleeping and then it was a hard left to Wacky Town.
Honestly, though, talk of importing food just takes me to ‘G'Kar’s Extended Time on Centauri Prime as Londo’s Freakishly Close BodyGuard’ Denial Time Land and I think of them importing so much Narn shit just for him and HONESTLY I have so much stuff for this Nothing Hurts Timeline, it’s kind of embarrassing. It’s stunning to me how much material my brain can generate for what is literally just these two running around have social shenanigans and a relationship that is indecipherable to everyone including themselves.
Look at how little sense any of this makes without context. I just opened up my B5 folder and noticed how much utterly ridiculous shit is in there that I just fucking threw together and posted in response to comments. I think my ridiculous stuff outnumbers my Actual Things.

Oh, but I love it tho. I have some character changes, but they’re not nearly so dramatic, and I just really love seeing this for some reason. That it happened so gradually for you that they’re the same character is really cool to me.I kind of want to print this out and hang it somewhere so I can remember it’s probably not ~too weird~ for others. And I really do appreciate this because the fact that they are the same character is really important to me, you know?
It’s nice to see that you have an appreciation for something so significant to me.
Oh, I so do. You and I had Original Character bonding back in like, what, 2010? 2011? I love seeing that other people have deep and significant ties to the things they’ve made because I know I have the same thing. It’s like it strengthens everyone involved - creators are validated, pride in characters is increased, characters develop even more because of this. I also just love seeing other people who very clearly grew and changed through their creations, which was something I did and think I still do. It’s really beautiful to me to see big changes like that.

Either way, when I saw you popping up suddenly in my notifications on all my B5 work about a week ago when I was at Gallifrey, I was like, “Ah, there is someone who has just let themselves into the floodgates of the tags.” I thought you were another someone, apparently, but the feeling stands.
Honestly, I think it was only exactly ten years ago that I did something that was just as life ruining as experiencing Londo goddamn Mollari. My performance at work visibly suffered, it was terrible. I needed people to talk to about it when it happened, and it felt like there was kind of no one, so my solution was make enough fanart to entice and thus create enough people to talk to. Unfortunately, that means I have to wait for most of them to finish watching, haha.
In the meantime, I’m delighted to have you as someone else recently scarred by this experience and on the ‘alien ambassadors ruined my life’ boat. What a lovely sense of camaraderie.
I should maybe just make more posts about the depths of my Extreme Feelings About Londo Mollari, since I never tagged my liveblogging with the series tag.
ANYWAY, I’m aiming for something like 3 o'clock US Eastern Time tomorrow for painting time, though this was originally for someone who asked for it specifically, I may just do another one that’s their specific questions if this one doesn’t cover it. It’s intended to be vaguely informative and instructive, so mostly I’m just drawing a bunch of heads and painting them up so people can see ways I try to do shit. You can all see me largely making things up, it’ll be delightful.
