ugh my tablet fucked up 2/3 of the way through this thing
These brilliant paintings were made by Duane Bryers, the artist responsible for my all-time favourite pin-up girl. Hilda is not only sexy, but she has a distinct personality that I don’t see in the other girls of her category. While most pin-ups are simply eye candy, Hilda makes me laugh and marvel at her adorable down-to-earth-ness.
Hilda is the best.

Delenn’s hair has always confused me.
It makes me legit angry. It seriously just - put hair under the thing, or above it, not both, what the fuck. And I feel like what they struggled with was “We want her to have long hair to be a nice stark contrast to no hair, plus it’s super feminine and Delenn is a rather feminine presence. If we put the hair on top, then the hair obscures the crest and she becomes less obviously Minbari, so it needs to come down the back.” Why the solution was not ‘put hair under the crest ONLY’, however, I do not know. Maybe someone specifically said she needed to have bangs or something. Of all the things that DO NOT MAKE SENSE in various sci-fi things, and even in just this show, Delenn’s hair looking like it’s just either casually growing through bone or is encased in a weird hair cradle is among the things that makes me angriest, because we have to look at it for FOUR SEASONS AUGH
I’ve been tempted to remove the hair from one side of the crest or the other when drawing her and that’s part of why she’s lower on my list of people to draw than, like, Vir. (Also, just on a scale of 'interacts with Londo or G'Kar’, she ranks lower than Vir an Na'Toth, haha.) But I’ve drawn her in a suit now, because all it takes to make me draw stuff is apparently CLOTHES and WACKY.
This is the video I was talking about earlier! With ‘Vir and Londo ON DRUGS’ and 'Let’s strip down and have a party’. There’s also “I became a Happy Meal”, which is really charming. It’s really a good time, I’m grateful that someone recorded it!

i can’t believe the thing that gets me drawing people from this show who are not Londo and G'Kar is the opportunity to put them all in ridiculous clothes in a ridiculous setting
