And this is the story of naming myself Lady Yate-xel, and how to say it~
I just re-added this to my side-bar, but since I’ve got a bunch of new followers from a new fandom and I anticipate this question again eventually, here is a video I recorded two years ago (before I chopped off three feet of hair!) about how to pronounce ‘Lady Yate-xel’ and the story behind it.
and a minute later he says, “I thought if you didn’t want to do questions, we could just lock the doors, strip down, and party.”

I can’t get over his voice, it’s like I can hear a ‘core’ Londo sound in there, but when he’s not doing the accent, it’s like a totally different voice and I’m both fascinated by it and have embarrassed myself just by looking at it.
So, good job me, I guess.

It’s all good! I think we’ve both gotten a little of that over the years.
Incidentally, while I don’t have Otaku Mascots of those two, I have a pixel dress up doll (Kiss Dolls, from back in the day) that’s sitting in an almost completed stage like a ton of my other shit. Screen shots and samples from that are in this tag.

This is lovely, but I think you’re thinking of Zarla’s! I didn’t make any mascots of Edgar and Nny back in the day, no matter how many other things I made of them, but I know she definitely did one. I had it too (and still do, buried in a folder somewhere). It’d be fun to do a Homicides version, since that’s a bit more specifically me, haha.
I’m glad you’re enjoying that they’re there anyway! It’s been a year and half-ish since I made any (you may notice I jump from thing to thing like a squirrel on crack), but I’m a biiiiiit tempted to play with Babylon 5 and SWAN/ISH pixels now.
SWAN especially, since it’s turning 10 this month~

Ivanova as the by-the-book police officer (beating people up is not the way we DO THINGS HERE MISS NA’TOTH) (she caves pretty easily though)
Talia is a lawyer with a mysterious connection to the secret drug empire run by Bester (she is also Susan’s secret lover obviously)
Garibaldi and Zack are also private investigators who are partners
oh god no, the more concrete this becomes the easier it is to draw, you fiend
The bar is called “The White Star” and there are rumors that Delenn is running some underground vigilante justice organization out of it, but those are just rumors of course.
Ivanova is caught in the middle of all of this, trying to finally nail Bester while Garibaldi’s recklessness (because he’s obsessed with getting Bester of course) keeps messing it up for her.
Kosh is a suspicious businessman with an oddly indescribable face who sometimes shows up at The White Star but never actually orders anything, he just sits there.
G’Kar and Na’Toth are trying to find out what Morden’s up to, only to track the whole thing back to [dramatic music] Londo.

Byron as Sir-Not-Appearing-In-This-AU!ahahahahaha oh god, don’t say that, it will take over my life and i will just be Lady of The Three and A Half AUs, I’ll have to change my URL in shame
Alternately, Byron shows up weekly to whine that he doesn’t have his own fucking bar, and everyone tells him that is literally not their problem, go fucking find one, no one is stopping you. He does nothing else.
It quickly becomes clear to everyone that Garibaldi and Zack are who you go to if you want something found, and G’Kar and Na’Toth are who you go to if you need something destroyed. (They try very hard but everything gets destroyed with them)
People always ask why the bar has no bouncer, but the truth is that Delenn is her own bouncer. They learn this quickly, too.
Ivanova drops by occasionally. “Delenn, you wouldn’t happen to know anything about the men found unconscious outside the police station, would you?” “Of course not, officer.” Ivanova rolls her eyes.
She questions Lennier and he “doesn’t know anything” either. Ivanova is not paid enough for this.
“So everyone here knows nothing about anything, except for the singing Centauri, who knows everything about nothing!”

I like to think there’s a television on in a corner somewhere that in normal bars plays sports and the news, but here it plays Garibaldi’s Daffy Duck cartoons. It’s changed only when they know the bar is going to be on the news.
