your time has come, Lady.
Right? Right.
The moment I saw Londo and Delenn’s costumes, I had good feelings, but this just confirms it. I am twitching to bring out the sponges and splatter brushes already, but I need to gather so much more material first.
Soon, my friends. SOON.
honestly, those costumes are just justification for me to use my iridescent watercolor on every inch of those people and then shake some glitter on
I AM SO READY.
Guys, look how BEAUTIFUL this all is, though! My searches for reference photos also have to include costumes in addition to faces and expressions and just LOOK.
One of my first grumbles when I started watching this show was that it didn’t feel colorful enough, and now I’m seeing that is clearly all the lighting’s job, because the Ambassadors were all a fucking rainbow, and even the black B5 uniforms were just dripping with TEXTURE. I had no idea all those subtle patterns were in there, they’re amazing!
I expected Londo to be fussy and covered with as much stuff as possible, and jeez, wow, I love all his buttons and beads and clasps! But even G'Kar has so many patterns and fabrics I’m having a hard time keeping visual track of them. And I love those hints of green, and that eye? What a goddamn delight~
