I read an Amazon review the other night from someone who was like, “The only characters I connected with emotionally were G'Kar, Londo, Vir, and Lennier” and I was just like 'yeeeeeah, bro, add Ivanova to that, with a dash of earlier seasons Delenn, and I’m with you’

I’m happy that so many of the new positions are going to women, though. New Doctor, Captain, and Intelligence personnel are all ladies. That’s a good.

You know, they have taken Lennier a liiiiiiiiittle too close to a guy upset about friendzoning for comfort.  He is skirting some lines that are super uncomfortable here.  It was okay when they were going for sad, but now he seems mildly resentful and that’s super sticky.

Delenn’s goodbye is elegant, of course.  

I don’t know, you guys, I’m too upset about Londo to be feeling the same emotional devastation about everyone leaving here as I did about everyone leaving DS9.  I thought, somewhat shittily, last night, that part of it was just that B5 was not as beautiful or elegant a design as DS9, haha.  I see DS9 and I’m struck in the chest with love for it as a place.  I don’t get the same looking at the shape of B5. 

Though this parting scan of the new crew is Beautiful, well-fucking-done.

yay, i’m glad there’s still some shit happening.  as much as things hurt me, I’m sitting here welcoming it, haha

Man, I feel like I should like Lyta now that she’s sort of a monster, that would normally be my jam, but she hasn’t had satisfying enough character development to get here that it just feels forced and I’m annoyed by it instead.   I wonder how much of what they did with her was what they were going to do with Talia.   I’m sitting here thinking about whether a male character doing the same things would make me just as annoyed, because that’s important shit to consider always, and I pretty much envision Byron, and wow, the answer is yes, I wanted to throw that dude out an airlock constantly.  Maybe if there was more time with Lyta like this, or we’d seen a real build up of it, I would be into it.   Maybe she’ll somehow do that in two more episodes? But I get the feeling that her leaving with G'Kar was both of them bowing out of the show until some kind of finale montage.

I am sort of unsettled? unsure? mildly weirded out? about the adventures of Lyta and G'Kar in space, but okay.  I think him saying that he’s learned a lot he can teach her is really lovely, at least.  I think some of G'Kar’s badass serenity would be good on poor Lyta.  Also, his goodbye with Londo was still far more intense and fucking beautiful than what he did with Sheridan, but that was still Elegant as Fuck.  Oh, I <3 G'Kar~
