Haha, it’s all good. I have Tumblr Savior set up not to notify me when it blocks something because there’s some things it upsets me to even see the word (my ex’s username, mostly), so as far as I know, unless I’m on mobile, you just very rarely blog!

To be honest, I don’t really remember seeing any from you! Are they all Avengers things maybe? I have ‘Avengers’, and mcu and almost all their names, actors, and some ship names blacklisted, so I’ll probably never see them anyway! But thank you for asking!

If you feel like adding that sort of a tag to anything that is porny and isn’t Avengers-related, then yeah, that’d probably be really useful for me, but I wouldn’t want you to go through too much fuss for just me. It’s the images of characters I really care about that are most difficult for me to handle. I can shake off stuff I don’t know or am only a little familiar with for the most part. The porn that would occasionally show up in the Garak and Bashir related tags is the hardest and most upsetting stuff for me to see, but I haven’t seen any in a while.

Thanks for the concern and for the offer! That’s really sweet of you to have a whole blog and be worried about just me!

I’ve always loved that they gave Shimerman the ally role and Auberjonois the “its just the way the world is, deal with it” role.

That’s one of the great things about “Far Beyond the Stars”; we really respect Odo for being a paragon. While his need for justice fights for his desire for order, it’s still based on it. “Things Past” shows that sometimes, he is angry at the Bajorans for being unruly and messy when they’re fighting for justice. Pabst is in character for Odo.
Because you had TNG bebopping safely around the universe with Jean Luc Picard as the benign authoritarian figure who told folks to calm down and let authority work out their problems. Sure, there were exceptions, where Picard bucks authority to do the right thing, but it’s generally an appeal to authority.
Quark is a criminal in the eyes of The Federation. He has an ideology which makes most Starfleet officers despise and distrust him. We don’t like Quark and most of his adventures aren’t treated seriously. Even when he sincerely cares about something it’s played for laughs because, hey, it’s only Quark.
Later TNG is big on, but not necessarily all about, peddling a soft, beige message about “not being mean,” “never letting your emotions get in the way,” and “obeying the law even if you don’t like it.”
For a pedigree that’s so steeped in loving order and hating crime, “Far Beyond the Stars” knew how to leverage the integrity of breaking the law and cowardliness of hiding behind it.
omg its definitely a bit harsh but I’m going to describe TNG as “soft, beige authoritarianism bebopping safely around the universe” for the rest of my life, thank you for that.

I was going to post some drawings, but literally all of the reSWAN drawings I haven’t posted are of some sort of horrible trauma. I have just reached that point in the story, I guess.

Meanwhile, any dd9 and ds9 drawings all sort of look the same (as each other, not like the traumatic SWAN drawings). Clearly I must make myself draw some other things and shake it up a little.

Might do some color meme things to Babylon 5 later, that could be rad as hell.

I’m sorry I’ve been so inconsistent lately. Last weekend I was practically blowing paintings out my nose and now it’s just tumblr weeds

It may be of some consolation to know that I am working on a thing that I can’t quite post yet (some HTML is giving me issues and it turns out I need more pictures than I thought I did, merf), so there is art coming.

So I had absolutely no internet for all of yesterday, that was fun.

My mother and I used the day to catch up on the rest of the season of Face-Off that I missed since getting my job. We watched like five hours of it, it was fantastic. I always want to paint when I watch that show~

I also like that it’s always really drama-free. There’s not a lot of weird bitching, just talking about having trouble with a mold or something, and they all help and support each other, it’s so great.
