Cass: I love files, I take them home and I just roll in them!
T -the girl in the cubicle next to me from the Harrisburg disaster- just started the day with a statement against the protesters. I knew this would be her stance thanks to her over sharing of her views in general on the Harrisburg trip, but ugh, gross, why do you say these things at work? It must be so nice to live in your fairy land where you can assume everyone agrees with you.
Though, honestly, that fairy land is being a conservative, straight, white Christian person in western Pennsylvania.
Annnnd the Christmas music has started again. Blerg.

Thank you for this. Thank you!

How a Pennsylvania Coal Town Became Hell on Earth | Via
Not many people can claim Hell as their hometown. But Todd Domboski, and the several thousand former residents of Centralia, Pennsylvania, come closest to that distinction. In 1981, a 12 year-old Domboski fell into a pit that suddenly appeared in his grandmother’s backyard. He grabbed onto a tree root, and his cousin pulled him out from the steam-emitting hole in the earth. The cave-in was caused by one of the worst coal fires in American history — a fire that has been burning for over 50 years and may burn for several more centuries.

I always feel like I’m wrangling cattle when I prepare to post things on AO3
(This is what we’re talking about, for those of you following along at home)
A bit more serious upon consideration, actually! Both of my images of the station have been very popular, but are also quite small, so I think everyone would benefit from me doing a larger one.
The other one I did was this one, and I thought I’d made it into a print and a phone case on Society6 as well, but evidently not!
In either case, it wouldn’t be my aim to remake the same image exactly, so it may be a different view, angle, or color scheme, but some of the same feel. If you think you’d want something bigger no matter what it looked like, then, yeah, wait a bit, and I’ll have something there relatively soonish. If you’re particularly attached to that view and those colors, your options are to get the current print, or commission me to try to replicate it more precisely, haha.
Thanks for asking about it! This is something I think I’ve been meaning to address for a while and at the time when people are buying lots of gifts is probably a good time to do it!
Sometimes, I get really excited about something that I already know about myself. I think it’s during the rare moments of not feeling crushed by awful brain shit that I sit back and think things like, ‘Fuck, I really like sci-fi stuff, that is so cool, I am so glad I love this shit.’ Like, no kidding dipshit, you’ve been marinating in it since you were 7, you go to conventions, you own multiple pieces of merchandise, you have fought with your brother over who will inherit the Star Trek Christmas ornaments despite being an atheist, all you’ve ever painted was supernatural shit, did you just find out now that this is your jam?
But I still got excited about it today as though the thought had never before crossed my mind.
