Morbidly curious as to how deep this rabbit hole goes.
You and me both, my friend. I just keep thinking about ways to enhance things with this story or something, and them having a weird website with, like, strange hints and references to the places they’re going/have been so you can go to and poke at just seems really fun to me.
Strange announcements like, ‘anyone bringing duct tape to future performances will be turned away at the door’ and you just wonder what the fuck happened with duct tape. Vague statements typed in by Jimmy about people wearing certain colored wrist bands. Out of context quotes from Johnny rambling on stages. Tenna offering words of 'wisdom.’
Like the kind of thing people would access for clues about where to see this freaky shit next, even if there was no clue, just “Jimmy made fucking sense today” like on the paper calendar I imagined them having. It makes more sense for it to be online, and it’d be a funny thing to play with.
It would require me having more HTML knowledge than I currently have, unless I set it up with some kind of generic wordpress builder or something.
Which is why the tumblr for just Johnny starts looking appealing? God, he’d love and hate an ask box at the same time. I think it’d be fun to see him respond to people who aren’t under his control (I say as though this would happen on its own and not be more work for me), and I’d be interested in which persona he’d use ??
I’ve always found the Homicides interesting for the kind of duality they have to maintain all the time, and I used to hint at them giving interviews to little indie and occult magazines that showed other people trying to get under the dead people makeup and find out about their mundane lives. Johnny only surrendered any of that info toward the end of ISH when he was too sick to even be talking to people, frankly, but it’s still something that interests me, even though we spend half the story on their mundane lives.
The act of creating a mask or alternate persona makes the original more interesting just because you now know the mask was needed for some reason.
…it is such a rabbit hole.
I was doing some planning for details of shit in reSWAN at work today, and made a comment that Jimmy might set them up a cryptic website and then I got all excited like ‘oh my god i should buy and set up their website!’
and then i got all spiral into shit like making a tumblr for SWANJohnny or something and I’m teetering on the edge of 'step away from the rabbit hole, lady’ and trying to figure out what his URL would be
