I can’t wait to have a real life where I do something fun for my birthday. As it is, I’m driving to my fuck awful hometown tomorrow instead, which I’d rather wipe off the map than ever have to spend time in, to see my creepy racist misogynistic OCD grandfather, and then my infinitely more pleasant but super obsessed with Jesus and Spike from Buffy grandmother.
My dream for tomorrow would instead be having cheesecake or pie, and singing showtunes or Eurovision songs, watching DS9 or Capaldi being creepy, sharing all my weird experiences with the Johnny stuff and talking about weird shit that has come back and talking about all the weird nuances of stuff of Tumblr and getting to paint and all of this with a friend.

A ‘Ring of Fire’ solar eclipse is a rare phenomenon that occurs when the moon’s orbit is at its apogee: the part of its orbit farthest away from the Earth. Because the moon is so far away, it seems smaller than normal to the human eye. The result is that the moon doesn’t entirely block out our view of the sun, but leaves an “annulus,” or ring of sunlight glowing around it. Hence the term “annular” eclipse rather than a “total” eclipse.
