I’m interested! swan/ish happened to me when I just started getting into fandom things and it has a special place in my heart forever!

Oh, fantastic~!  That’s really wonderful to hear.  It is always going to be dear to me too. I still have a Homicides painting on my wall above the desk I’m working on as I type this and doing this little project reminds me of how much I love this pack of hideously damaged humans. :)   I’m just sitting here typing away like, ‘Oh, hello my fucked up babies, I love you~~’

I love the way you’ve described SWAN/ISH as having 'happened’ to you, that’s kind of wonderful.  I feel like that about it too!  There’s easily twice as much of this new odd thing now than there was before, so I hope other people enjoy looking at it as much as I am really enjoying making it! 

I think I’ll end up dropping it on AO3 and somewhere on my website whenever I can tear myself away from it, though I’m thinking now that there are at least three people I’d really like to just send it to directly.

I think some other junk that was never posted once I finished ISH might go up too.  I’ve got a weird pile of it.

I would love to get some reactions from people whenever I’m done spewing it into this word document!  I do not know how long that will be because I am not sure how to stop myself at this point and I am not renowned for my self-control, but I’d love if you checked it out when it exists!

Oh man I think it’d be rad to see something swan/ish. I remember loving it when you were still working on it. I used to draw a star on my face when I went to school and wore a key necklace (read: i still really love swan/ish ;o;)

I feel like you would get a sense of what this stuff is/was and just be like, ’mmmmmmkaaaaay Lady...’ but that’s a lovely sentiment, really!

Though I think what I’ve just done is actually more enjoyable to people who just like what I do regardless of if they’re familiar with it than a lot of what is there of it now! There’s more me in it as well as just more general competence in putting shit together, haha.  

I’m trying to figure out what to do with it when I finish however much I’m doing of it.  I know it’s going up somewhere, but I always sort of find Tumblr a weird place for written work, so I’m trying to see where the people who are already fond of this thing even ARE.  It’s been a long time, so I know there aren’t many actively thinking about SWAN/ISH or looking for me, but it was worth a shot to send out a feeler.

Are there any of you still here? Are you interested in seeing something odd and fun?

I did a thing and I’m looking to see if there’s even anyone around who would like to see it.  It’s of the words variety rather than image, otherwise I’d just post it!

Hopefully he won’t start dropping this word all over the place like he does in fanfiction.  Though, when I looked it up under that spelling, the only related definition I could find was “A Wodehousian term of disparagement for a young lady.”  It doesn’t seem to have been a commonly used word at all.  Maybe Wodehouse made it up?

How weird that we both saw it get turned into ‘beazel’ in fanfic and fandom discussions! I’m definitely starting to think it was taken from 'beasel’ looking like it might have been linked Beelzebub. The fandom tends to be welll read people who would get a reference like that, and with fandom (especially slash fandom!) and it’s casual misogyny, I would not really be surprised if it came from someone being 'clever’ (and gross).

You’re further along in the Wodehouse canon than I am now, so I’m happy to have at least the minor-est part of this mystery (whether or not it was used) solved!
