This has to be one of the best things I’ve done for myself artistically in a long, long time. I finally feel like my digital art has more of the feelings present in my traditional things. C: This is all great practice too, forcing not to use the entire neon rainbow in one image, AND especially because there are so many characters I don’t draw often, or, in some cases, have never drawn. I’m trying to vary the way I approach them so they don’t get too same-y. It’s fun and exciting! (Though there are now 29 lined up and I just finished one thinking I was down to 24, haha. They might be a prolonged project I use for warm up for other work eventually!)

I currently have 24 25 another just came in as i’m writing this of these color palette requests in my inbox, so if yours doesn’t show up immediately, it is not because i’m snubbing you or anything, there are just a lot of these!

I’m also doing ones that aren’t ds9 every so often to break it up a little, so there will be some original things, some doctor who, and two other Trek flavors.

I think one more tonight, and then I rest, fuck around for a bit and let the queue take over.

I know, obviously what this particular shade is called (‘snake, rattle & roll by essie) but I’ve taken to calling these my ‘Cardassian nails’!
This is a product that’s been out for quite a while, and I’ve always been intrigued but I’ve finally broken down, and tried it! And I have to say it’s so neat!!
So this is the Reptilian magnetic nail polish from essie, and I chose this particular shade cause it reminded me so much of the Cardassians of Star Trek, more particularly my fav Cardassian, Garak.
What you do is put on two coats, immediately after the second coat you take the removable magnetic cap, and without actually touching the nail hold the magnet over the nail as close as possible for anywhere from 30-60 seconds. And then when you take the magnet away you get an awesome scale design!!
Sooo neat!!! Way to go essie! Can’t wait to get some of the other colors!!!
