“On Cardassian females, the ridge in the center of the forehead had a blue coloration, as did the second or third rung down on their neck ridges. This coloration may be a form of cosmetic make up, similar to Henna ink make up and markings. They had straight hair that varied in color from dark brown to the far more common jet black.”Never forget the time Garak wore blue in his spoon for an episode and it was never referred to or explained.

In case you are interested!
Most Popular Palette asked for so far: 15 (none of which I’ve done yet! But one ask was for Garak and one for Bashir and I’m finding it hard to resist to do them both in one?? More on that front as it develops)
Most popular Character asked for so far: Ziyal
So far no one has selected palettes 10 or 18.
Aww, thanks!
I’m finding some of them easier than others! I have to learn to resist some temptations a bit better, but this is wonderful practice, I’m delighted this meme exists.
I don’t know what you’re having the hardest time with, but in general I find it helps to try every color as a background color and just put down some squiggle and texture to see how the colors interact. It’s often easiest (though not always best) to use the middle color as the background, then you have two shadows and two highlights. Again, easiest, but not always the most interesting, challenging or artistically awesome. But a good starting point~
Good luck~

Well, thank you! You say ‘always’, but I think it’s only been recently since I’ve been trying to make my digital things feel more like my traditional things!
I have a fuck ton of brushes floating around in my resources folder, but the main ones that seem to come out most often are:
Essential Illustration Brushes - I have an older version of this set, but it’s all super useful. I’m particularly fond of the little 10 pixel one in row three, which is smooth enough and dark enough to draw linework with, while being just chewed up enough to give things some texture. I could use that brush for an entire painting. Which I shouldn’t do, but it’s happened. Particularly on several dd9 paintings.
This pack is also nice, and I use a few of those, though I like more funky shit than this one offers.
Luckily, this set is here to help. There’s a category just called 'weird’ that pleases me greatly.
I use Photoshop CS5, so these all work in that, but as for higher or lower, I don’t know!
