-Ah, but I always can make time for you! You bring light to my world and joy to my eyes!
kncrowder88 asked for Kira and Dukat interaction!
i wasn’t exactly sure how you wanted it handled ship-wise so i went with canon, i hope thats alright!
I’m taking pre-orders for The Yeti Book!
The Yeti Book is a Doctor Who Second Doctor children’s book fan project I made in 2010-2011 and sold at my first Gallifrey One convention. You’re looking at the first eleven pages in the photoset. After these intro pages, it’s a sweet little story about the Doctor and his companion Jamie meeting a Yeti. It’s essentially a children’s story book, and every page is illustrated with my watercolors. Most of my copies went to adult collectors, but it’s been purchased for a few nieces and little siblings too!
I sold out of them pretty much right after the con and have been asked several times when I’d be reprinting them! Now is that time! I need at least ten pre-orders to be in a good position to do this, but I’ll be printing more than those ten, so don’t panic if you can’t pre-order right now.
I’m asking for $20 (US funds) to pre-order a physical copy for the first ten people. If you’re one of those people, there’s no charge for shipping within the US and Canada once they come in! This is 10 dollars cheaper than the price for these the first time I printed them! (I will still ship outside of the US and Canada, but I can’t take the hit for the shipping, sorry!)
33 pages in full color, 8.5 by 5.25 inches, with a stiffer cardstock cover, held together with two staples. You may want to disassemble and laminate the book if you intend to GIVE it to a very young child, as it could probably be easily torn, but if you’re just going to read the story and then display it or keep it on a bookshelf between readings, it should last you a good while.
All the images you’re seeing here are from the book too, and, as an added bonus, the book has the endorsement of one Mister Frazer Hines:
The signed version is my own personal copy and is just shown for size and Fun With Frazer. No signatures appear on the copies you would receive. There you can see that even the disclaimers and acknowledgements page has an illustration~ There are no pages in the book that don’t have at least one image.
If you’d like to pre-order, send an email to ladyyatexel at gmail dot com with ‘Yeti Book Preorder’ in the subject line and I’ll get back to you with payment and shipping details. All payment is handled through PayPal. Please be sure your PayPal address is up to date, or provide me with the correct address in your initial email.
I don’t have an exact timeline for the arrival of the books since that is largely dependent upon when pre-orders come in, but I imagine you’d have a book within 30 days. (For future reblogging reference, today is the 29th of April, 2014.)
If you would like a digital copy, and/or would just like to support me, head over here to Ye Olde LiveJournal for details!
If you are considering ordering a Yeti Book, I still have a few pre-order slots available. The sooner those fill, the sooner everyone gets their book, and the more likely I’ll be able to offer them again at Gallifrey One! The price may go up a little after the pre-order period ends, so please order soon if you’re still interested. The reduced-price I got for printing these is a limited time offer and I don’t know if I’ll always be able to pass the discount on to you!
Thanks so much to those who have reblogged and ordered so far~!
