Sandra Chevrier ‘Collections of the Broken’
Reed Projects Gallery presents the solo show, ‘Collections of the Broken’, by Sandra Chevrier . The exhibition is a series of mixed media work on canvas, in what will be her debut European solo show. The Montreal based artist has swept the art scene by storm, gathering fans across the globe from afficionated collectors to first time buyers. A combination of pencil, watercolor and acrylic with overlapping collaged groups of classic superhero characters woven into the features is used in her works.

Surreal Photos of A Frozen Venice
Art director Robert Jahns has created a series of surrealistic photos of Venice by combining photos of Italy by Luis Manuel Osorio Fernando with photos of frozen lakes in Russia by Daniel Kordan. Robert Jahns wanted to show how the Venice Canal would look like if it was frozen by the winter.

Oh, my dear, I am terribly sorry.
I had to sit and be sad for like an entire weekend when I finished it. I think I found the solution was fanfic (of the post-canon G/B variety for me, but all people self-medicate differently), but also going back and watching episodes in like, season three, when shit was still happier and the slow plunge into soul crushing sad was not yet reflected on everyone’s shoulders.
Did the montage destroy you? Because the montage and then the singing? I was so done. Every five minutes I found a new reason to sob, (and would have sat and dealt with Garak and Bashir saying goodbye for a good half hour before continuing had I not been watching it with someone) but those really put it on thick.
[I am definitely among those who find Weyoun super attractive, but we can’t forget about Keevan—he was super hot and his smarminess made him that much hotter. I wish he had been in more than two episodes.]
Man he was such a great character.
I loved Keevan an irrational amount for how little he appeared. His unrestrained sass in the Ferengi episode gave me life. Why was there not more Keevan, dammit.

I’m taking pre-orders for The Yeti Book!
The Yeti Book is a Doctor Who Second Doctor children’s book fan project I made in 2010-2011 and sold at my first Gallifrey One convention. You’re looking at the first eleven pages in the photoset. After these intro pages, it’s a sweet little story about the Doctor and his companion Jamie meeting a Yeti. It’s essentially a children’s story book, and every page is illustrated with my watercolors. Most of my copies went to adult collectors, but it’s been purchased for a few nieces and little siblings too!
I sold out of them pretty much right after the con and have been asked several times when I’d be reprinting them! Now is that time! I need at least ten pre-orders to be in a good position to do this, but I’ll be printing more than those ten, so don’t panic if you can’t pre-order right now.
I’m asking for $20 (US funds) to pre-order a physical copy for the first ten people. If you’re one of those people, there’s no charge for shipping within the US and Canada once they come in! This is 10 dollars cheaper than the price for these the first time I printed them! (I will still ship outside of the US and Canada, but I can’t take the hit for the shipping, sorry!)

Thanks to everyone who ordered!I now have several of the physical books and can let a few more go before I have to keep the rest for sale at Gallifrey. 33 pages in full color, 8.5 by 5.25 inches, with a stiffer cardstock cover, held together with two staples. At least two of the pre-order books went to real live children under 4 and both have asked for several repeat readings. So far, I’ve heard no stories of ripping or tearing!
All the images you’re seeing here are from the book too, and, as an added bonus, the book has the endorsement of one Mister Frazer Hines:
The signed version is my own personal copy and is just shown for size and Fun With Frazer. No signatures appear on the copies you would receive. There you can see that even the disclaimers and acknowledgements page has an illustration~ There are no pages in the book that don’t have at least one image.
I don’t have an exact timeline for the arrival of the books since that is largely dependent upon when pre-orders come in, but I imagine you’d have a book within 30 days. (For future reblogging reference, today is the 29th of April, 2014.)
