It’s all good!  I’m not especially dragon-sitting-atop-hoard about techniques as, in the end, it’s a particular artist’s voice and personal aesthetic that should be strongest in their work, and that isn’t something that’s teachable, it just sort of grows.  There are plenty of artists who are very technically proficient but their work doesn’t say a whole lot or really scream that THEY did it, you know? “Just a wrist for hire” is what one of my instructors used to call them.  This is not to say I have reached illustrator nirvana and all my pieces are perfect reflections of my voice, etc etc, but I don’t think revealing ‘how to make vague space shapes’ in watercolor is going to render me powerless or anything.

THAT SAID, yes, I’d love to do some kind of tutorial, it sounds super fun, but my options in my current situation are a bit limited.  I’d love to do a video, but since I work traditionally and my camera is mounted to my laptop, I… don’t really know how I could swing that.  I had a separate one before I had to move, but I foolishly donated it thinking I wouldn’t ever find a use for it.    My phone has a lovely camera, but I have no idea how to mount my phone to something for this purpose.  If anyone has ideas on that, please send them my way!

If you’ve got a specific question, I can certainly try to answer it given what resources I currently have!  (I’m envisioning strapping my phone to my head, but hopefully it will not come to that.)
