I opened Photoshop and was met with bleeding eye G’Kar.  There is something sitting my ask box that I’ve been sort of pondering the last day or so in relation to that.  I have to decide how to approach it, if at all.  I sometimes wish I wasn’t so intent on being thoughtful about my work so I could do the really gore-heavy stuff in fandom things without being concerned with the weight it carried and the connotations it might bring.  I love painting really gory or blood heavy things, but I’ve never taken a fandom thing to the level I like painting.  It’s easier to do the gore things with my own original work, particularly Banshee, because then there’s no worry about accusations of glorifying some iffy aspect of a relationship or whatever - it’s me defining it.   Fandom stuff is a little trickier, which is why you don’t see as much of it as you’d think you would from me.

Plus, if I’m honest, more people like things without blood than with, and I sometimes have to weigh whether the time investment in a work is worth the lack of attention it will get.

Anyway, I ended up watching a thing with my friend so have not started a damn thing, haha.  But for real this time.  I’m going to see if the hug doodles are worth my time to scan~

Then I don’t know!  I should probably do the pencils for the thing I want to paint.  I don’t know how interesting that will be to watch on camera and it tends to take the most time, so it seems like a good idea to just have that ready and go right to painting if I stream tomorrow.
