I only have one song of hers, ‘Cold War’, which I love!  But I have a strange habit of going, ‘Yes, I love this,’ and then never looking at anything else an artist has ever done.  Coincidentally, I was just discussing this and why I might do it with my girlfriend last night. (Turns out, like everything else, it’s probably childhood trauma at the core of it!   Imagine that!)  

Aesthetically, her look is fucking Top Notch, and everything I’ve read about her as a human in general is equally so.  This is a Quality Human in my book.  Maybe one day I will finally listen to more than the one song, because I’d definitely like to be able to say that I love her and her work without reservation!

I don’t know about you guys, though, but for me, if someone says, “hey, check out this song,” I gotta stop what I’m doing and really focus on it?  I want to give it proper attention and consideration, which takes more energy than, ‘I have this on in the background while I paint,’ so it takes me a long time to get through recommendations and even suggestions for SWAN/ISH (which is where most of my ocean of recs come from).  

So I guess it sounds dorky to say, “Maybe I’ll have time to listen to a song,” but to me, it’s a proper sit down and Listen process because I want to give my full attention to things people want me to engage with.
