I learned how to solder in metal shop in 8th grade and I really liked it but I never got to actually pick it up because the people in the metal shop including the teacher were very cruel and insulting to me, always talking about what a useless and forgettable girl I was, so I never took another class

I’ve got ideas for doll things in which soldering iron would be very useful so I think I’m going to add one of those to my list too
