I dreamt that 1.) I was walking alone in the forest and found a rotting megalodon’s head just lying there and thought, oh shit, this is the find of the century and I’ll never get credit for it and

2.) there was some episode of Star Trek, DS9 probably, where a child character did not want to go to school and couldn’t think of an excuse. He confided this to a Ferengi character, who advised him to lie and say, “Sorry, I have to get surgery. Child surgery. On my brain.”

In the dream, this was considered an iconic line, and saying “I have to get child surgery on my brain” was a meme with people who had watched Star Trek as kids. I mentioned wanting to call off work and my friend said, “Yeah, just tell them you need to get child surgery on your brain.”

Surgery. Child surgery. On my brain.

Alternatively.

Ship, I think you astral projected to another universe where season 8 of DS9 happened.

The first thing I did when I woke up was Google “ds9 Star Trek child surgery on brain” because I was absolutely convinced that this was a real line from the show.
