Here’s a map of the states in the universe Jem takes place in. Some notable differences are
- New Mexico has invaded part of Texas
- Missouri is thinner than previously expected
- Wisconsin and Illinois have merged into Willinois, Land of Cheese and Corn
- Mississippi, Georgia, and Alabama have grown taller, much like the kudzu
- Washington DC no longer exists
- New Hampshire has seceded into North and South New Hampshire
