Well this is exciting (at least I think it is)! I hope the one in the wheelchair is made to move so that she can sit accurately. And a new body type is nice along with a new hair type and a doll with a prosthetic limb! I know that we give Mattel flack for their crappy quality clothing and their QC, but at least they are continuing to increase the diversity of the line.
Hopefully we will see some of these things at Toy Fair.
We have our first photos of the wheelchair Barbie and the one with the prosthetic as well. Credit can be found in the photos.
The Barbie has Made to Move elbows and ankle joints so she, at least, appears to be MtM and the wheelchair itself looks nice. The doll with the prosthetic does not look to be fully articulated.
Either way, I am eager to see what else they have in store.
Also worth noting the “Good Vibes Only” doll looks to be the new flat-chested/muscular body height and the doll to the right of Barbie appears to have a new, braided hair texture!
