A tattoo design of Ultros from Final Fantasy 6 for my brother, who is four years younger than me but functions more like my twin on generally every level. One of the strongest parts of our bond is in the history we share in this game. We spent hours growing up with this one, and we still spend every federally sanctioned long weekend at our mother’s house playing through it Again. I’m really excited to think that he liked what I could do enough to decide to commission our favorite purple octopus and then turn around and put it on his skin. I appreciate this is a little overly sentimental for goddamn Ultros, but here we are.
The magicite is a bit of a hybrid of how we always interpreted the pixels in the game and how we have since seen them depicted in years since. I wanted to get really wacky with it, but my brother suspected his tattoo guy and his wallet would not be able to handle the color things I wanted to attempt, so we’re a little simpler than I would otherwise go!
