Kitty-shaped Kindergarten in Wolfartsweier, Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg

The kindergarten was designed with the help of French (Alsatian) writer, illustrator, and graphic designer Tomi Ungerer and opened in 2002. The building looks like a cat with wide-open eyes, the ears attentively upright, cowered down on its four paws as if it was preparing to pounce. The children enter through the mouth, the nose serves as a canopy. The tail is a slide from the upper floor to the backyard. The whiskers are purely decorative.
