I have been wanting to display my pins and bits for a while now without fear of losing them, but I honestly didn’t want to buy an ita bag because they are all pretty expensive for a fairly small viewing window…
So what did I do? I took one of the totes I had leftover from my Etsy and modified it to be an ita tote!!
It is farrrr from perfect (the seams aren’t all straight lol), but it does the job. I found a pattern for an ita backpack and another for a tote I can make from scratch, I just haven’t decided which one I want, so this will work in the meantime!!
I have plenty more stuff to put in the window, I just have to get it out of the closet. I think it ended up looking kinda like a Polaroid photo?
Anyways, the other two photos are of the pocket inside. I made it zippered and the backs are enclosed so that if they fall off, they a) aren’t lost and b) can’t scratch the stuff in the actual tote part. 🤗
Oh yeah, and there is a piece of craft foam embedded in the pin pocket for extra grip! 👍
I want to make a new purse sometime, I should make it ita, too–thanks for the idea!
