CPTSD signs and symptoms: if you have these try to get treatment

  1. Severe mood swings: CPTSD often gets confused with borderline personality disorder because of a lot of symptom parallels. Usually, though, cptsd has mood swings that are very deeply linked to the trauma you experienced as a child, even if it doesn’t feel that way in the moment. 2. Emotional recognition: It is often difficult for CPTSD survivors to clearly recognize their emotions, or where they stem from. As well as you get to know someone, there is a barrier of “they will never really know me fully” or “I can’t be as open with them as they are with me.” This all stems back from childhood trauma, and having parental trust violated at a young age.
  6. Somatization: A lot of physical symptoms tie into this also. For me it was chest pain, hot flashes, exhaustion, etc
