We interpreters just wear our headset everywhere we go. Even outside the booth. The cable is at least 500 metres long, so we can move through the entire conference centre without taking it off. Wearing it has become second nature to us; we feel naked without it. We’re standing right in front of our client and they’re not even wearing their headphones? It doesn’t matter. We have to continue to speak into the microphone, so THEY can hear us. THEY are always listening.

And y’know what? It was worse than I could possibly have imagined. And not just the whole “oh, of course, I totally cut out my projects practically on top of the sewing machine” aspect, but the details are also wrong, like having the presser foot down when not actually sewing. And I can’t at all figure out how that hand grip could actually use the scissors.
(there was another photo that not only had pattern pieces outlined to be cut in an incredibly inefficient-use-of-cloth way on a solid, buuut the whole photo was flipped, because no sewing machine is made in that configuration)
