Oh baby do I have the tool for you! Presenting Google Flights!
You can compare airlines, times, different travel itineraries… it’s an incredibly versatile tool. Once you’ve figured out the best, least expensive itinerary for you, you can click directly through to the airline’s website to purchase your tickets.
Now, before you search for ANY flights through ANY site, you’ll want to set your browser to incognito mode. The airlines can see how often you’re searching for a particular trip, and they will literally jack up the prices the more often you come back to that itinerary. YES IT’S TRUE.
Secondly, you’ll want to go from Google Flights to the airline’s website, NOT Orbitz, Kayak, or another secondary travel website. Only the airline itself can help you if your flights get fucked up. For example, if your first flight is delayed so you miss your second flight, if you booked through Orbitz the airline will tell you “Sorry. Can’t help you. You’re going to have to call the secondary company.” Whereas if this happens to you and you booked through the airline, they’ll rebook you automatically.
Trust in me, my children, for I have learned these lessons from experience.
