@dollsahoy sent me a birthday adventure in the form of Ideal Beautiful Chrissy wearing some fucking choice items. I am obsessed with those eyeballs I want them in my size.

I happened to have a Mattel Cynthia and an Ideal Kerri from @invisimort ’s mom’s house cleanup last year and I got some more clothes with them that I think can really be utilized well with the madness that came with Chrissy

Also included were the tiniest little apple doll Circe and LONG DOLL SOCKS which I was just drifting thoughtfully about wanting

Thank you! I am excited to make Things happen here!

Where the fuck did I put the clothes

She’s already kind of rocking something in this cape Cynthia was holding

Happy Birthday!

Glad Chrissy fits in!  That was what I was most unsure about sending, so I thought the least I could do was dress the doll appropriately–and the cape is a fantastic addition, I thought the outfit looked like it could work with another layer. (And I still wonder what they were thinking when they gave that nominally sweet doll black eyes) (The eyeball print was from JoAnn a few years ago, but doesn’t seem to be there this year.)

And I saw your post about liking knee high doll socks around the time I realized that the only knit doll things I like sewing are socks so here we are!

And hello beautiful Onyx kitty!

I have a Uneeda Jennifer who would have been in this photograph also if she wasn’t naked with crazy hair at the moment. I’ve become kind of interested in dolls of that size that are not toddlers or children. ( unless they are little apple dolls. I adore those. You are only allowed to be a child doll in my house if you are dead or potentially going to make someone else dead. Or both. Both is good.) I also had a brief obsession with dolls from Ideal like two years ago, and I really considered buying some of these hair dolls just because I enjoyed the quality and the sculpts Ideal had going elsewhere.

I thought that it was just the quality of the commercials on YouTube that made Chrissy look like she had black holes in her eyes, but no, there they are. I feel like I can kind of see dark brown irises in there but that might be just my brain deciding they should be there. Either way I’m both very charmed by her vintage paint and also interested in the kind of modifications I might make. I’m interested to see what she’s like in comparison to the Kerry doll also. Kerri, kerry, keri, something like that, whatever, I’m not looking it up again haha. Her proportions feel a little bit strange to me but Chrissy seems a bit more balanced. And Cynthia is just a really cute sculpt I really like her and like her proportion. I’m happy ill have someone else to display her with. Anyway, yes, Chrissy fits in with the strange subsection of larger dolls in my army that doesn’t get much air time. I’m really pleased!

So glad my love of doll sock coincided with a thing you liked to do!

Thanks again, this was such a nice thing to do.

(The beautiful Onyx is getting up in all my photos. It’s like we know we are beautiful.)
