So yeah hey if you’ve just joined me because you followed me for the fucking deer or some other art project, I’ve been a little sparse on art lately because I’m leaking fluid into my retina! :D Fun! 🙃
So the art is a little thin at the moment. All I’ve done is work I can’t share yet, so I hope you aren’t hideously disappointed that I’m a bit sparse on the painting front while my left eye just keeps on rocking a blind spot in the middle.
The family photo restorations you’ve been sharing have more than made up for the lack of other art :) I love seeing what you do with those pics and learning little things about your family!
I do hope your retina gets better sooooooon, though. Until then, keep being awesome 😁
Thanks so much for saying so! I’m enjoying doing those so much because the computer can do what my eye can’t and I don’t need to worry about depth perception on a screen, but I do worry sometimes I’m just boring the shit out of people, haha. I think at the very least everyone likes a good random before and after.
I still can paint on paper and doll heads, but it is kind of a struggle, particularly the latter, which is really killing me because dolls for me are like four hobbies in one at minimum. I’m certainly not giving up on painting by any means because it is my life and my passion and my native tongue and I would be dead if I were unable to paint, but I’m willing to channel energy into a restoration project for my entertainment and my grandmother’s benefit until the monthly eyeball stabbing starts subduing my renegade retina.
which it needs to start doing like… sorta in a now-ish fashion because driving in the dark is not super safe for me and it’s gonna get darker earlier and earlier soon and if this medicine doesn’t work the alternate version costs TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS AN INJECTION and yeah
