Okay friends what other dolls are there like Mattel Cynthia and Uneeda Jennifer - larger scale, less child and more teen, no sleep eyes? I want to look at what my options are for paint shenanigans.
Tiffany Taylor and the Super Size Barbies come to mind, along with Mego Candy (there was also a barbie-size version, and almost all Mego dolls and action figures from the time have head vinyl that’s lost almost all of its pigment)–not sure how “teen” they look, as opposed to “adult with a career”
Lorafina if you want a more modern doll? Tiffany taylor or taylor jones, crissy are her eyes just inset? Uh.. Daisy Long Legs? (She’s a goofy looking one for sure)
random aside but… there’s a 70s Sindy styling head out there which totally is begging for a proportionate body (it’d be HUGE right? lol) and maaan… I wanna see that happen.
@dollsahoy adult is fine, just like “not an elementary school child” was the big no. Or those freaky ones with adult heads but toddler bodies??

I forgot about Tiffany! She always seems kind of weirdly large necked to me, but I love Tuesday Taylor, so I have been tempted before and may yet succumb.

Haha, Daisy has some potential! That’s like just wacky enough to be an interesting repaint candidate. Thanks for the tip off, I’m going to investigate those.
I’m just twitchy about wanting to paint dolls but my flooded retina makes it really hard to get depth perception and just overall clarity on tiny close up heads, so I’m hoping a brief adventure into larger dolls might satisfy the itch until the eye heals and I can go smaller again!
