need a convenient shorthand for “I’m operating at 99% capacity right now and assigning me what appears to be a trivially easy task places me at the risk of catastrophic structural failure”
Short but not specific: “I’m busy.” / “I’m too busy.”
More specific but less short: “I’m incredibly busy right now, but you can check back [at xyz future time] when I should be more available.”
Metaphor-laden: “This camel is not accepting straws right now.”
those poor camels do take a lot of abuse in these metaphors
