3 Defining Features of ADHD That Everyone Overlooks

FINALLY, SOME GOOD QUALITY EXPLANATION OF WHY “I DONT LOOK LIKE I HAVE ADHD” BECAUSE ITS NOT REALLY CANT SIT STILL FOCUS NONE DISORDER ITS SOMETHING A WHOLE LOT MORE COMPLEX

Actually yeah. I just reblogged this silently without any acknowledgement of it, but this is hones to god one of the best explanations I’ve seen.

Yeah you can have only these symptoms, and people end up being diagnosed with just “depression” or “anxiety” and prescribed something that has little effect on the real cause of their problems.

Are all people really not like this? I ask this not accusingly but totally sincerely! I feel like no one will ever diagnose me with this, but these just seem like the things I do. I have always just thought I was lazy, forgetful, and being childish. I often forget to eat when I’m in the zone doing any kind of art. I’ve said my whole life I can’t turn my brain off at night. I’m constantly in tears over feeling like my family has rejected me in favor of my brother’s tiny perfect girlfriend. As a kid I once told my mom she would obviously rather have my friend as her child because they had some pop culture knowledge in common that I did not. My family always seems like emotionless robots to me when I describe how I feel and they just obviously don’t relate.

Like god, is there a Degree of this you need to qualify? I know I’ve been seeing and relating to all these posts about this, but this one is just slightly overwhelming to me at this moment for some reason.
