I did some art things today actually! The first one is a close up of some pencil lines that will be eventually a painting. It is doing some different things than it was in sketch form so it’s a little slower than I had anticipated and I’m trying to decide what the next best course of action is but that’s not really a Tumblr thing, it is a me thing.
The other two are kind of a lot of things happening at once, just the images I’ve been around a lot lately all marinating in like a mental Crock-Pot. I found myself really interested in doing things that combined a lot of the Aesthetics and Concepts that I enjoy with the images clothing Silhouettes Etc that I am encountering in my ancestor photo Adventure. So I was thinking about multi-armed creatures in outfits with puffy shoulder sleeves and big hats and then I tried like a triangle head one eye girl in the dresses that I have been seeing most in the time period I’m currently eyeballs deep in. Because I really like the idea of strange object heads a lot. And those dresses have started to look very familiar and friendly to me now because I know the people I’m seeing in them. I did want to shorten the dress to a link that would absolutely not be acceptable in the area that it’s from just because I wanted to draw spindly legs and cute boots, haha. And then the triangle pyramid thing reminded me of an old radio and then I spent I don’t know like an hour or something researching radios and the radio shape and design that I wanted really is not happening at the same time as the dress inspiration that I had even though I fully intended to hack the dress down to about half the length that it would have been in history so I don’t know what’s happening there or if history even matters at this point but that’s where that is. In the course of looking at and reading about radios I wanted to name the resulting object head girl thing Heterodyne, and we can call her Dinah.

Dresses on Tressie (front), Tina, and Verne ( second from the left) are the kind I think about 4 radio headed girl, though Especially Verne. There’s another picture of her with her husband’s family and the look is even more exact.
Like those. I’ve just been seeing so many of them lately they have started to feel comfortable to look at or something. The puffed chest effect with the long folds is particularly what I want to mimic.
