So, Shadow Weaver is all on board with Glimmer harnessing the heart of Etheria until it involves Scorpia reconnecting with her runestone.
Then it’s all “Let’s pump the brakes a bit! She’s not a real princess! Getting her near the black garnet is dangerous! What would your mother think?” as SW cranks the manipulative behavior up to 11

Y’all, Shadow Weaver clearly isn’t fond of Scorpia, and she’s definitely not fond of anyone wielding the Black Garnet except her. If Season 1 showed us anything it’s that SW is highly possessive of it, considering the rune stone “rightfully hers” despite the occasional struggle when she reaps it’s energy.

Light Hope described Scorpia as “A princess robbed of her powers by The Horde’s meddling,” but was this meddling Scorpia’s parents’ desperate attempt to keep the rune stone out of Hordak’s hands?

Or was it Shadow Weaver directly separating the princess from her powers, and claiming the black garnet as her own?

Shadow Weaver insists that Scorpia “Has never shown any connection to her Runestone,” and yet it only takes a five second touch to transform the princess into a glowing, levitating, rune stone wielding electricity queen?

If I didn’t know better, I’d say the story Scorpia’s been told and the evidence we’re given just doesn’t add up.
