I think I’m depressed cuz for the first 16 years of my memory it’s like….

You’re in a grade, you finish the grade, you’re done with the grade.

And they were like “hey you need this grade for when you get a job.”

There’s a quantifiable number of years left, and then you get a job.

And everybody always treated that like a finish line and that made things tolerable.

But now it’s like “okay I have a job, I’m done.”

“…”

“…. what now.”

“Well now you work the job.”

“How long do I have to do that?”

“Until you can’t any more.”

And everything suddenly got very indefinite. It’s like I was playing a video game and I beat the final level and instead of a ‘congrats you did it!’ banner there’s just sixty years of grinding before the game just randomly freezes and crashes.
