Ok I gotta figure out what the deal is with the dress Jessie was wearing.

It doesn’t feel like Mattel’s usual choice of fabric, doesn’t have any tags, and is half-print on the bodice.

That shiny tricot fabric screams late 1980s/early 1990s to me, and Mattel did use it a lot back then, in lower price outfits-sold-separately (especially those multi-dress gift packs.)  But.  Yeah, it doesn’t look like Mattel.

Edit: Gift packs like this  https://www.ebay.com/itm/1996-Barbie-Gift-Pack-Fashions-6-Complete-Outfits-with-Shoes-Mattel-68073-83/202808630625?hash=item2f38561d61:g:-LYAAOSwu2tcZ3P5:sc:USPSPriority!37076!US!-1

Ah, I see the similarity in texture.

A lot of other cheap dolls used it, too, and it varied a lot in quality (well…from “low” quality to “I don’t really want to touch this” quality)

It’s majestic.
