I’ve only removed paint - she had dark around her eyes under the thick peach tone which I haven’t taken off entirely- but it’s really exciting to see her begin to come up for air.
From her sales photos I had NO idea she had that much paint on her.
Me neither! I thought the pictures looked decently clear when I bought her (her shininess just looked a lot like her photos on the DZ website) and then she came and it was a shock to see how thick the paint was - brush strokes and thickness building up so much it had filled spaces between fingers - and that it was covering up a first paint job. Looking back on the sale photos, they weren’t as clear as they could have been, but since I was going to get rid of paint job regardless of how it was done, they don’t matter too much.
Still, it’s startling how much difference a paintjob makes, no matter how many times I see proof of that being true.
