Hey friends who do things with textiles!

This is The Green Blanket, and it’s been with me since I was about 9. It has.. seen a thing or twenty. I used to walk around just robed in this thing for years, and everyone else in my family and pretty much everyone else I’ve ever met absolutely hates sleeping under it but I love this thing. It’s mine and it’s special. It’s bright fucking green which the camera is not picking up but many of you will recognize as kind of my thing and it’s not cold when you initially put it on which is a problem I have with a lot of other blankets. On the surface level it is an old generic ass basically thread bare blanket that probably did not cost anything to purchase and is definitely scrap or garbage at this point but I love it and I want to keep it.

I want to know what my options are for patching the green blanket.

I have and can mostly operate a sewing machine, but I have zero experience knitting or crocheting or anyting of that nature, but I’m willing to try to learn or find someone who is willing to help so feel free to just suggest whatever or anything. I just want to know what if anything I can do. It doesn’t need to look pretty it doesn’t even need to match really. Just want my green blanket.
