Hard to say without knowhing what each measurement corresponds to, but the M-8 looks similar to my measurements in inches, if it’s bust, underbust, hips. Putting 40 at about an L/12-14
Though why there’d be a hip measurement on bras, who knows.

The size chart doesn’t go past XL, even though the bra size goes up to 50…
Probably bust measurement then. Maybe.
I’ve purchased these exact sports bras from Amazon. It’s roughly equivalent to underbust measurement.
