Which States Are in the Midwest?
Midwest is the most useless classification ever.
I’m sorry, but Colorado is NOT in the midwest
@katy-l-wood back me up here
Not even a little bit. I’d argue that the midwest, if it exists at all, is the ND-OK section.
I live in Wisconsin and we definitely consider ourselves part of the Midwest, along with MN, MI, and IL for sure. I’d say MT, WY, CO are too far West, and PA/WV are too Far East. I have no real opinion on the rest. Although, culturally, OH seems pretty midwestern, even though it’s getting pretty far East. Funny how we call this area the Midwest instead of the Nothern US or central US. I’m sure it goes back to our whole genocidal obsession with expanding West, but it makes no sense.
I have lived along the PA/OH border regretfully almost my entire life, and PA 100% does not consider itself or WV Midwest. I feel like here we view Midwest as something that happens halfway through Ohio and then just disappears into a western ether eventually.
