I want more of the Dreamworks She-Ra dolls period.  I have had an expansive number of feelings regarding this topic.  

I wanted ALL the princessessssss, I wanted to repaint EVERYONE.  I have had extensive talks about how I thought they might orchestrate Entrapta’s hair because she’s my favorite and I require a doll in a bad way, and how pretty Mermista would be, she could come with a tail in shiny fabric like we’re nineties Barbie, and Perfuma could come with cute little flowers to stick in her haaaaiiiir and lots of plastic plant things taken from Monster High.     And a Scorpia with little articulated grabby pincers <3  She’d need a whole specialized sculpt though, and they wouldn’t do that pretty much ever, especially as Scorpia probably wouldn’t be seen as a good fashion doll character for not being petite.     

You’ll notice I’m operating in a fantasy world where Mattel gives a shit once I hit Scorpia, but go with me.   

 I’m baffled that they didn’t put tinsel in the purple part of Glimmer’s when she’s canonically sparkly, like god, if you ever had a reason to say, ‘This hair could use tinsel’, Glimmer was it.   And Princess Prom versions of everyone.  Even in my fantasy world of Mattel giving a fuck, they aren’t making fashion packs and you have to buy a whole new doll, that is sad.  But still.   You can buy them in date two packs and the Catra / Scorpia set vanishes from store shelves and then gets sold at twice the price on eBay because of the sheer bulk of red alert gay contained in that box.   

I wanted an extra Catra before because I really wanted to make a glitchy world ending portal Catra because that is Really My Jam, but now I need gay haircut Catra.  And ten years in the future and I’m okay and and have a pony tail in Adora’s innermost wishes Catra.   But finding extra Catra now is A Challenge.  I don’t know if she was particularly short stocked compared to the others or she was just the only one everyone wanted to buy (she did look the best stock out of any of them) and thus the only one no one wants to sell.  I know if I only could have only bought one beyond She-Ra, I would have bought Catra, so.  

I do have an extra She-Ra, though, so I think once I re-repaint my Comic-Con one (because she’s still just Not Right), I want to see what I can do about turning my Target one into Season 5 She-Ra.  I’ve been tinkering with her hair in a ponytail and seeing what shapes I can get it to reliably make on the forehead poof front already.   But she’ll need repainting and her whole outfit will need to be hacked up and resewn to itself probably, so who knows how realistic this is.  

But, friend, I FEEL YOU.  I also have a mighty need and am deeply sad more of them will not be a thing.
