Getting real Amano vibes from that pic!

Ahahaha, excellent, those were the vibes it was born from!   One of my favorite things growing up was Final Fantasy 6, and I carried the strategy guide everywhere with me when I was 9 or so because I was obsessed with the artwork.  Entrapta’s spot between tech and magic made me think of all the games I played in that time period, since that was a recurring theme, and thus Amano was kind of a natural extension of that feel.  

I think about his fiddly detailed designs for characters compared to their final renders Often, and I go back to him as an inspirational well for that kind of permission to expand and make a little mess.
