She Ra: Princesses of Power (2018) is a wild journey because you expect it to just be badass women fighting evil with magic, and it is, but it’s also the story of two child abuse survivors raised in a military organisation which is actually a metaphor for extreme religious indoctrination working through their individual trauma to finally form a healthy romantic relationship with each other.
