I agree! Noodle limbs are appropriate for teens but look kind of out of place to me when combined with a “lady” face. Liv is fun to play with but I find her very…block-y. The graceful femininity of the teen Skipper body from the early-mid 00’s was worth saving so I’m going to try and make this contraption work, by golly! 😂 I’m hoping that cute torso + shortened noodle limbs make a charming combo.
ooh this is facinating! as much as I love the engineering of the Liv Body, it’s not hugely aesthetically pleasing and works more as a gangly teen body than a woman’s body which makes rebodying say a barbie head, a delicate balance in dressing to age them up.

Finally trying out the Milliput! I mixed some up to fill the gaps made by cutting this Liv body apart so I could make it shorter for this MK&A torso.
A Starr torso that has a crumbling neck, yellowed legs, and a broken wrist got some Bigger Bobbies because I mixed too much Milliput. And why not? I like my dolls stacked I guess. 😂 For the legs, I have a pair of Obitsu 27cm (one with a broken hip pin) and a pair of articulated Skipper legs. Both are a bad color match but it’s looking like she’ll need to be painted anyways.
It seemed that the Liv legs weren’t that short, but comparing them with an undoctored Liv shows how much I did take off! Now to let them cure so I can refine and even out the putty later.
I’ve been trying to make this body work for this head by imagining she’s a tall volleyball player and did a couple of MSpaint mockups of where i’d try boil snatching or adding epoxy but ultimately my problems boil down to the white underwear part of the body which is also crucial to the leg articulation. I can sacrifice the waist articulation to give her hips and a bum but how to not make it look like a diaper? it’s not just that she has flat buns but they turn into negative buns when sat or bent.
I wonder if her poor diaper butt (sigh, dollblr language…) could be cracked open and her legs grafted onto a nice torso? I have no idea how the hip pins look but I’m quite fond of the Starr/Jazzie body as of late.
This is what I did when I was frustrated with the Liv body a few years ago
lots of epoxy putty (including covering/eradicating the original waist)
and this is the Liv body mod that’s been in stasis for a few years
which I would not recommend, because the internal parts of the Liv waist mechanism extend really far up into the torso (so I don’t think the Liv waist could be snatched, @firespirited , even if it were the right kind of plastic, because there’s so much going on in there)
