He’s asexual, largely sex repulsed probably except for like an hour two days a year or something and then it’s just like “just slightly less repulsed”, and somewhat sitting on the demi romantic line. The strong attachment/emotional bond bit has been satisfied with Edgar by now, but it literally took him a year to be like yeah, let’s hug, so.
He’s far less goopy about romancey shit than Edgar is, even when capable of romantic feelings. But like, most people are less goopy than Edgar haha. Certainly the rest of the group is.
God but I’m so happy to have language for this now, both for him and for me, because back when I was doing the first SWAN, you can find places where I say, “this group is two guys, two girls, and Johnny”, because I just didn’t have anything to call the way he felt.
Similarly, people asked me about the group’s sexuality and at one point I said Johnny is bisexual in that he is equally disinterested in everyone sexually. I think I even described that he’d have to be very strongly attached to someone to do anything you could call romantic it’s just
