Almost every barbie listing over a month old on amazon has QC complaints from your classic wonk eye to badly rooted hair. If it’s the same with what’s on shelves then no wonder people aren’t buying. Also bland faced dolls in a shapeless minidress isn’t very enticing. Dolls that do capture the imagination like la girl or the popstar side eye bambi sell like hotcakes, the daya with afropuffs from the mtm wheelchair is another one people love to bits. Without characters the dolls need inherant ‘character’ to grab attention.
