I took inspiration from igstoys on Instagram and made some Cloudees/capsule chix hybrids! I’m thinking of sculpting the bunny little pink horns because a kawaii Jackalope sounds cute, and the kitty reminds of Mae from Night In The Woods even though she’s not a black cat. Honestly can’t wait to make more. The Cloudees are cute and they get more expressive when you give them a more posable body and clothing options. Also who can resist having an army of cute furry dolls? Not me.
Their heads are currently stuffed with rolled up paper towel because the Cloudee neck hole is much bigger than the Capsule Chix doll neck peg. This was my BF’s spur of the moment idea and it works fine short term. I’d love to hear what other doll modding folks do when they have this issue, though! I was thinking of using a rubbery polymer clay like Sculpey Superflex or Cosclay to sculpt a bigger neck peg and then boil curing it.
Oh and on a final note, Capsule Chix are exactly the right size to ride My Little Ponies as if they were actually (somewhat) horse sized. I love this.

If you’re still looking for suggestions, I really like thermoplastics. It’s a dental plastic that melts around ~180 ish degrees, and you can mold with your fingers. My go to so far has been covering the neck joint with clingwrap in the smothest layer I can and wrap thermoplastic around it, and then stick that in the neck hole. Works for me o3o
